Rules and Regulations

  • Bow to the Master and salute the flag when entering and leaving the room.
  • At any time and place, when the Master arrives you must stand at attention and bow. In class the first person to notice the Master's presence must alert the others by clapping his/her hands, then the highest ranking member calls out "Charyut" (attention) and "Kyung Yea" (bow).
  • Always address other instructors or senior ranking members as Sir/Maam
  • When given permission, upper ranks are responsible for instructing lower ranks in discipline, manners, techniques, terminology, rules and general information regarding the Center.
  • Do not teach other martial art techniques or higher rank techniques to lower ranks without permission from the Master.
  • When at the Do Jang, do not practice any techniques that have not been shown to you by the Master or class leader.
  • Do not face the Master, other students or the flag when adjusting your Do Bak and belt.
  • When specified Korean terminology is to be used during class time.
  • Injuries are to be reported to the Master or the class leader immediately.
  • While participating in the class, should you recieve a vistor or become weak or ill, you must ask permission of the Master before lying down or leaving the Do Jang.
  • No personal business is to be conducted during class time.
  • Permission from the Master must be obtained if you wish to participate in any outside tournaments, demonstrations or private instruction.
  • Children should always respect their parents by obeying them and obtaining permission for certain activities. Never speak disrespectfully to your parents.
  • Students must attend at least two classes per week.
  • Profanity, idle chatter and horseplay are prohibited in the Center, specifically the mat area.
  • Smoking, eating, drinking, gum chewing, wearing shoes or jewelry are prohibited in the College.
  • Any damaged equipment must be paid for by the person or persons responsible.
  • Anyone discovered to be currently a drug abuser, alcoholic, or member of an undesirable group (such as gangs, immoral or criminal clubs) will be expelled, as outside conduct reflects directly on the Center.
  • Remember basic manners such as covering your mouth when you yawn, cough or sneeze.
  • Keep all nails trimmed and clean to prevent injury to yourself and others.
  • Practice good oral and physical hygiene.
  • Keep your Do Bak clean at all times.
  • Keeping the school clean and returning equipment to its proper place is part of martial arts discipline. All students are expected to do their share without being told.
  • Any student tempting another into breaking rules or slandering the Master, another student or the College will be expelled.
  • Only members may use the Do Jang and the facilities as specified by your membership.
  • Payments must be current.
  • All Black Belts are responsible for tuition payments and all other charges for being a member of the Center until such a time as a school is opened for them by the Master.
  • You must comply with the instructions and dress codes for each area of the Center.
  • Memorize all the rules and regulations and make them a part of your daily conduct.
  • I PLEDGE MYSELF TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL RIGHTS AND CLAIMS AGAINST THE OWNER, INSTRUCTORS AND MY FELLOW STUDENTS FOR INJURIES I MAY RECEIVE WHILE PRACTICING TAEKWONDO OR USING ANY EQUIPMENT IN THE CENTER.
  • I HAVE READ AND I UNDERSTAND ALL OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY THEM. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT IF I AM DEMOTED, SUSPENDED OR EXPELLED NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE AND I WILL STILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FULFILLING MY FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS
