History
The Royal Martial Arts Center began in 2006 when David Eckler, a student of Taekwondo decided to open an authentic Korean martial arts school. Mr. Eckler has a true passion for martial arts and has been involved in Taekwondo along with his son, James, and his daughter, Jesse, for over 7 years. Mr. Eckler saw a need for the community in Grand Rapids to experience the world of modern Taekwondo. He enlisted the help of Master Nathan Doggett to coordinate training sessions at the center. Master Nathan Doggett has over 20 years experience in martial arts and is an internationally certified Master Instructor.
